Honestly, what I do to get around a lot of Win10/8 annoyances like this is boot into another operating system like Win7 or a system rescue OS like Hiren’s boot CD. You can then add all the items you want to \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup. Just make sure it’s the right drive letter (partition). If you ever want the program to stop launching with Windows, then just head back to the Startup folder (by repeating step 2 above) and delete the shortcut.. On a Mac.
